Romeoville, IL – April 17, 2016 – Canadian Expansion: Laser Products (LPI) today announced expansion of its sales force into Canada. The move is in direct response to the continuing growth of the countertop industry and is intended to position LPI to better meet the needs of its Canadian customers.

“We have been watching the steady growth of our industry in Canada and believe it is time for us to be there, on the ground, and in person with our customers” said Rich Katzmann, president. “This strategic change will allow us to help revolutionize the countertop industry in Canada like we have in the United States. Fabricators are considering the benefits of going digital and we want to be the company that shows them how they can boost their productivity and sales.”

Eric Harrison, Northwest Sales Manager with 20+ years of experience in solid surface applications will be responsible for Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Northwest and Yukon Territories.

JT Hoffman, North Central Sales Manager, a ten-year LPI employee, will bring his hands-on experience into Ontario, Manitoba, and Nunavut.

Matt Thomson, Northeast Sales Manager, a solid industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, will help customers in Quebec, Newfoundland, and Labrador.

The new team will be present at the inaugural STONEX Canada convention in Toronto on May 16 – 18, Booth #517.

Romeoville, IL – March 30, 2017 – Laser Products (LPI) today announced that it is expanding its sales force for the second time in the past year and is reorganizing its U.S. sales territories. This is an effort to optimize the team’s ability to quickly respond to, and accommodate the rapidly growing number of customers and their needs. These changes will ensure LPI’s continued ability to provide business solutions that offer customers more efficient measuring and fabrication workflows.

Drew Thornton has taken on the role of Director of Business Development where he will manage LPI’s national accounts, grow the LPI Partner Network, and launch products into new markets over the coming years. He will also continue working closely with all CNC manufacturers as part of an enhanced software integration initiative that will streamline job processing from measuring through fabrication.

Doug Jackson has been hired as the South Central Sales Manager with the responsibility for the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. Jackson holds a degree in electronics engineering and boosts 15 years of sales and technical experience in a wide variety of industries. He most recently served as the sales engineer at Salem Distributing, a machinery sales company in the stone and glass industry.

Eric Harrison has been hired as the Northwest Sales Manager with the responsibility for the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, and the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. Harrison brings over 20 years of experience in many aspects of solid surface applications including countertops, tile, and flooring. He worked recently for HK Custom Contracting, a stone and tile company based in Spokane, WA.

Romeoville, IL, January 12, 2017 – Laser Products Industries (LPI) today announced a new milestone for their customers and the environment. LT-2D3D and LT-55 XL Laser Templator users, are now saving over 55,000 trees per year.

“Our system allows fabricators to eliminate the need for written estimates, contracts, and other paper printouts,” said Rich Katzmann, LPI President. “When fully utilized, it is a totally paperless process from start-to-finish. Even more savings come from the elimination of luan (wood) strips that are used as templating material. With the LT-2D3Ds we sold last year alone, we are saving over 7,600 trees per year. We are proud to be doing our part for the environment.”

Laser Products Announces Strategic Workforce Changes

Romeoville, IL, November 16, 2016 – Laser Products Industries (LPI) today announced it has made two workforce changes that are intended to continue the company’s rapid growth and to better position it to realize future strategic initiatives.

Rich Katzmann has been promoted to President, continuing to report to Dan Louis, owner and CEO. Since joining Laser Products almost one year ago as the VP of Sales and Marketing, Katzmann has lead the company into record growth, expanded its sales force and entered new markets including the recently announced partnership with Slabsmith. Trained as a Nuclear Engineer, Katzmann changed careers to co-own and manage several highly successful start-up companies.

Laser Product also announced the hiring of Brian Hall, as a software developer, reporting to Erik Louis, VP of Engineering. Hall most recently worked at Coilcraft Inc. and brings 14 years of software development experience to his new position. He graduated with Honors from DeVry Institute of Technology with degrees in Computer Information Systems and Applied Science in Electronic Technology.

“The recent growth of Laser Products has been very exciting to see,” said Dan Louis. “The skill, energy, and excitement that Rich has brought to LPI has been astonishing. Because of his efforts, we now have a solid strategic plan that will include new products, new markets, and new ventures that will be introduced over the next few years. Hiring Brian to be a key member of our product engineering group is an important step towards the realization of some of those goals.”
