Debug Mode

Rarely, you may be asked to run the Laser Templator software in debug mode. This allows us to record what occurs when it is opened, running and shutting down. From this information, we can glean specifics as to what certain issues you may encounter through normal use are caused by.

1. Click Start
2. Search for cmd.exe
3. Right click and Run as administrator
4. Type cd\ and press Enter
5. Type cd Program Files (x86)\Laser Products\Laser Templator and press Enter
6. Type LaserProducts.PrecisionLaserTemplator.exe /debug and press Enter

Once you exit the program, a debug.txt file will be located in the AppData directory. You can get to the AppData director two ways.

Windows File Explorer

1. Open Windows Explorer
2. In the address bar type C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\LaserTemplator\v2.0 and press Enter
   {username} is the username for the Windows account.
3. The file named debug.txt will be located in the visible directory.

Laser Templator

1. Click Edit / Options / Advanced
2. Next to the line that reads Application Data Directory, click Open
3. The file named debug.txt will be located in the visible directory.
